Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the registration of students for Classes, Courses, Camps, and Individual Lessons, including remote learning online and other services. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before registering with EXSCI Ltd.

DEFINITIONS

1.1 In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms shall have the following meanings:

  • 'ExSci' or 'we': the legal entity carrying on as EXSCI Ltd.
  • 'You': the person or persons who have accepted these Terms and Conditions, being either the Pupil’s parent(s), guardian(s), or carer(s), or the Pupil themselves if the Pupil is an adult who is undertaking a Class, Course, Camp, or Individual Lesson themselves.
  • 'Pupil': the child or adult of any age who will be attending the Class, Course, Camp, or Individual Lesson as specified in the Registration Form.
  • 'Registration Form': the online registration form through which your details and the details of the Pupil (if your child is the Pupil) are submitted to ExSci, and through submission of which you indicate your explicit acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  • 'Course': the series of sessions the Pupil is attending, whether at ExSci's premises or delivered through Online Learning.
  • 'Camp': an educational event of two to seven days' duration that may take place during holidays, at ExSci's premises, or online.
  • 'Class': a class the Pupil is registered to attend, which may form part of a Course or Camp, or a stand-alone session.
  • 'Individual Lesson': a one-on-one or personalized tutoring session specifically arranged for a Pupil.
  • 'ExSci Materials': teaching curricula, projects, documents, and other resources provided by ExSci.
  • 'Online Learning': any remote learning service offered by ExSci, including Classes, Courses, Camps, and Individual Lessons conducted over the internet.
  • 'In Writing': communication via email to a designated ExSci email address, through a posted letter with recorded delivery requiring a signature, or through official ExSci accounts on messaging platforms such as WhatsApp or Telegram.
  • 'Intellectual Property Rights': rights related to intellectual creations such as teaching materials, projects, and online resources.
  • 'Services': the provision of Classes, Courses, Camps, Individual Lessons, or other educational services by ExSci.
  • 'Fees': the fees listed in ExSci's Schedule of Fees for any Class, Course, Camp, Individual Lesson, or other service.
  • 'Schedule of Fees': the prevailing fees for ExSci's services, as displayed on its website.

BINDING CONTRACT

2.1 ExSci shall provide the Services to the Pupil subject to these Terms and Conditions. By registering and accepting these Terms and Conditions, you agree on behalf of yourself and the Pupil to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2.2 Upon written confirmation being provided by ExSci that the Pupil has been accepted onto a Class, Course, Camp, or Individual Lesson, a binding contract will be formed.

BOOKING

3.1 Each application for acceptance onto a Class, Course, Camp, or Individual Lesson is accepted at the absolute discretion of ExSci.

3.2 The Pupil is not accepted onto a Class, Course, Camp, or Individual Lesson unless and until written confirmation of the acceptance has been provided by ExSci.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

4.1 ExSci retains ownership of all Intellectual Property Rights in ExSci Materials.

4.2 Neither you nor the Pupil are permitted to retain copies or make copies of any ExSci Materials except for personal educational use, such as homework or class notes.

4.3 The content of each Class, Course, Camp, or Individual Lesson is copyright protected and may not be recorded or redistributed.

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS AND GROUP LESSONS

5.1 ExSci offers both Individual Lessons and Group Lessons in packages of 10 hours. Clients purchasing these packages agree that they may reschedule lessons as needed in the future.

5.2 Rescheduling and Cancellations: If ExSci is responsible for a lesson not taking place, the lesson will be rescheduled to a mutually convenient time for both the tutor and client.

PAYMENT OF FEES

6.1 Fees for each Class, Course, Camp, or Individual Lesson are charged separately and must be paid in full before the start of the session.

6.2 Late payments will incur a £40 administrative fee. ExSci reserves the right to recover costs for recovering late or non-payments.

COMMUNICATION WITH EXSCI

7.1 In Writing communications may include emails to designated ExSci email addresses, posted letters with recorded delivery, or official ExSci accounts on messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram.

7.2 Complaints and concerns should be communicated as soon as they arise, in writing, to the designated contact point.

USER RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ONLINE LEARNING

8.1 Online Classes at ExSci are conducted via Zoom. Students are required to have a stable internet connection, microphone, and camera to ensure proper participation.

8.2 ExSci is not responsible for disruptions caused by insufficient technical equipment or poor internet connectivity on the user’s side.

COPYRIGHT AND CONTENT USE

9.1 All materials, including but not limited to math problems and solutions, are the intellectual property of their respective owners. The content provided on this website is for educational purposes only.

9.2 Users are prohibited from reproducing, distributing, or modifying any content without obtaining prior written consent from the copyright holders.

9.3 ExSci makes no representations regarding the copyright status of any materials and disclaims any liability for claims regarding infringement. It is the responsibility of the user to verify the copyright status before using any content for purposes beyond personal educational use.

THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

10.1 Some content, such as mathematics problems from various math competitions, is provided for educational purposes only and is the intellectual property of the original organizations.

10.2 ExSci does not claim ownership of third-party materials and disclaims responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or copyright status of such content. Users are encouraged to consult the original organizations for permissions and clarifications.

EMERGENCY CONTACT AND MEDICAL NEEDS

11.1 Parents or guardians must provide ExSci with up-to-date emergency contact details and disclose any relevant medical conditions or special educational needs for their child.

11.2 Failure to disclose such information may result in ExSci refusing admission to a Class, Course, Camp, or Individual Lesson.

TERMINATION OF CONTRACT

12.1 ExSci may terminate this contract if payments are not made on time, or if there is a serious breach of these Terms and Conditions.

12.2 Users may terminate the contract by providing written notice 21 days in advance for full reimbursement of any fees paid.
