Robotics

Robotics is where programming logic and engineering creativity collide. At every level — from a student's first blinking LED to competing at national and world championships — we focus on the same thing: the moment a student realises that a small amount of code can make something real happen. That feeling is what drives everything we do.

The Robotics pathway

Ages 7–11 · Years 3–6

First steps with micro:bit and Scratch

At the very start, we use Scratch and micro:bit to establish the foundation of programming and robotics — block by block, idea by idea. Students learn that programming is a way of giving computers and machines instructions, how sensors respond to the world, and that a small amount of logic can actually make something move, light up, or make a noise. The most important outcome at this stage is a single thought in every student's mind: "That was fun. I want to do more of this."

What we cover

  • Scratch and block-based programming fundamentals
  • micro:bit: inputs, outputs and the LED matrix
  • How sensors detect and respond to the world
  • Loops, conditionals and simple event-driven programs
  • Debugging and reading error messages

Competitions & exams we prepare for in United Kingdom

  • First LEGO League (FLL) Explore
  • School robotics showcases
  • Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge
