We are delighted to announce a new partnership between Exact Science and Westminster Under School.
Starting this term, Exact Science will run weekly Olympiad Mathematics sessions at Westminster Under School, working with a selected group of the school's strongest mathematical thinkers.
The sessions are intended for students who are already thriving in mathematics and would benefit from being pushed beyond the standard curriculum through more challenging and unfamiliar problems.
Olympiad mathematics is particularly valuable for these students because it asks for more than applying a known technique. Students have to experiment, recognise structure, develop their own approaches and explain why their reasoning works.
The aim of the partnership is to give some of the strongest mathematicians in the cohort a regular opportunity to develop these skills through serious problem-solving.
We are very excited to be working with Westminster Under School and look forward to seeing how the students progress over the coming terms.
