Chess develops concentration, pattern recognition and the ability to think many moves ahead — all transferable skills that directly enhance mathematical problem-solving. We train chess as part of a holistic programme for ambitious young learners.
The Chess pathway
Ages 7–11 · Years 3–6
Rules, tactics and first tournaments
Young players learn all the rules of chess and their first tactical patterns. Through puzzles and friendly games, students build the concentration and pattern-recognition skills that feed directly into mathematical thinking.

- Opening principles
- Counting material and simple endgames
